Privacy Policy
In one line — Wisdom Hours has no account, no ads and no analytics. We do not collect your app activity or journal data. What you write stays encrypted on your device.
What stays on your device
The feelings you name, the traditions you welcome or set aside, your notes, your saved passages, your reading history and your weekly map are stored locally in an AES-GCM encrypted file. The key is held in the iOS device keychain or Android Keystore and is not exported to us or included in app backups. On Android, the journal is kept in no-backup storage and excluded from cloud and device-transfer backups. We have no server copy.
Religious and philosophical beliefs are treated as sensitive data under laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA. The app is designed so that we never hold them.
What we do not do
- No advertising and no advertising identifiers.
- No analytics or tracking software in the app.
- No sale or sharing of data. There is none to share.
- Nothing you write is used to train AI models.
- Reminders are scheduled on your device and never contain your feelings, your notes or the name of a tradition.
Purchases
Wisdom Hours is bought once through the App Store or Google Play. The store processes the payment under its own privacy policy. The app does not receive your card or bank details. Store-provided sales and order information may be available to the publisher for accounting, refunds and support; it is never linked to your private journal.
If you write to us
When you email us, for example to report a problem with a passage, we receive your email address and your message. We use them only to reply and to correct the content, and we delete the correspondence when it is no longer needed.
Your controls
Under Me › Privacy and your data on iOS or Me › Privacy, export & erase on Android, you can export everything as text or JSON, or erase the local journal and destroy its encryption key. Deleting the app removes its local journal. Exported copies remain wherever you saved or shared them; app erasure does not remove those copies. Export before changing devices.
Links and your choices
Source and support links open in your browser. Your browser and the destination may process ordinary connection information under their own policies. Sharing a passage or exporting notes happens only when you choose it and uses your selected app or file destination.
Children
Wisdom Hours is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age in your country.
Changes
If a future version adds any data collection, this policy, the App Store privacy label, Google Play Data safety disclosure and the privacy screen inside the app will change first, and collection will be opt-in.
