Wisdom Hours
Two minutes a day with something people have actually written about fear, loss, anger and meaning: one real passage from a Stoic, Buddhist, Daoist, Hindu, Hebrew or Christian contemplative source, quoted word for word, with its translator and where to find it.

How a day works
- Name what you feel: a family first, then the closest word. The day’s initial is painted in that feeling’s pigment.
- Open today’s passage. Three short pages: the passage alone, one reading of it, something to carry.
- Context, a deeper reading, the source and another tradition’s lens are each one tap away.
- In the evening, one private line if you want it.
Common questions
A quotation looks wrong.
Every passage is checked against its source text before the app is built, but we want to hear about anything that looks off. Open Source under the passage and choose Report a problem, or email us with the reference shown there. Corrections are listed publicly inside the app.
What does “Editorial draft” mean?
The quotation and its citation are verified. The short reading beside it is ours and has not yet been signed by reviewers from within that tradition. When they sign, their names appear on the reading.
I don’t want to see a particular tradition.
Me › Reading preferences › Who speaks. Set any tradition to “Not now”. The choice stays on your device.
I missed some days.
Nothing is lost. There are no streaks. A seven-day path simply continues with its next day.
How do I move or delete my notes?
Me › Privacy and your data on iPhone, or Me › Privacy, export & erase on Android, exports your book as text or JSON, or erases its local data. Notes are encrypted locally and do not sync between devices. Export before changing phones; the app does not import an exported book automatically.
Refunds
Purchases are handled by the store you used. For iPhone, visit Apple’s legal and support pages or your Apple purchase history. For Android, open Google Play order history and follow the order’s support or refund options.
Please note
Wisdom Hours is for reflection. It is not medical or psychological treatment. Some old texts praise endurance or surrender; that is never advice to stay where you are being harmed. If you are in danger or in crisis, contact local emergency services or a crisis line.
